Charles Morgan (1894–1958)

English playwright and novelist.

He is famous for the quote "One cannot shut ones eyes to things not seen with eyes", and his poem titled "To America", published in 1917 under "A Treasury of World Poetry", which was edited by George Herbert Clarke. He married the Welsh novelist Hilda Vaughan in 1923, and was a drama critic for The Times, then a columnist under the byline "Menander's Mirror" from 1942.
