Reflection 57
Welcome!
Broad Minded
I am truly broad-minded to the degree that my mind, let go of, alights on and merges with and irradiates the whole scene. There it comes into its own. To be opinionated, narrow-minded, under pressure, depressed, repressed – all such diseases of the mind arise from its displacement and resulting compression. Given back to the world, returned to where it came from, it expands and recovers. At large again, it is infinitely large and generous. (
1977 interview with Douglas Harding, by Richard Lang)
Half-way between Pooh’s house and Piglet’s house was a Thoughtful Spot. (

The river… felt very quiet and peaceful on this summer afternoon. (

When you keep a clear mind, the whole universe is you, you are the universe. So you have already attained enlightenment. Wanting enlightenment is only thinking. It is something extra. …the truth is right before your eyes. (
Zen Master Seung Sahn)
