Reflection 223
Welcome!
EnergyThink of all the energy we spend keeping up this fiction of a solid thing here. No animal and no infant has this handicap. Maintaining this lie of a central thing here is so wearing. Not only do we have to keep this block, this nut in position, using up all that energy, but we have to keep on constantly adjusting it to deal with different people and different circumstances. Whereas, if I can leave them, those people out there, to take care of my thinghood, my appearance, of that lump if you wish, then I am relieved of all the expenditure of energy that that would involve. That’s very practical, makes lots of sense, and I promise you is really energising. (Douglas Harding.
