Detlef Beeker interviewed Richard Lang as part of a research project he was conducting. Detlef had a list of questions he had been asking various 'teachers'. These were a starting point for our conversation. I met Detlef once before, ten years before this interview, when he attended a headless way workshop.

Alan Rowlands (1929–2012) was a pianist who taught at the Royal College of Music for many years, and at Brookwood Park School (the Krishnamurti School). Alan met Douglas Harding in 1971. Sam discovered Seeing when he attended a workshop with Richard Lang in Fremantle, Western Australia.
